One thing I do have is major plot elements and areas to run campaigns, and to keep things moving even when Im not running a region. I have npc patrons. I have a moving timeline, whether players or my writing pushes it along.

My games – fantasy and modern/superhero – have all sorts of elements to them. My alignment chart has changed definitions but essentially remains the same. My fantasy’s 63 Deities are familiar. My world, physically, is familiar even if the countries/politics are not.
