I haven’t played DnD in about 7 years, decided to get back into it to pass time and meet new people. I saw on my LGS website that they have multiple DnD nights with not much info. Went in blind a bit early, turned out every table was full.

Luckily one very nice lady was kinda doing the same and seeing if any tables were open, she offered to and helped me start making a character and refresh my memory on some things using her player handbook. About 30-60 minutes later her boyfriend (more knowledgeable) showed up and continued walking me through the character creation process while explaining different things that I’ve forgotten or have changed. Also they pointed out ways to find a group outside the LGS and helpful apps.

They spent about 2 hours patiently helping this clueless stranger when they had absolutely no reason to, I can’t put into words how appreciative I am for their time and patient non-condescending help. Thank you so much Jessica and Dave!
