Here’s something I don’t see anyone on here saying: Political Correctness also killed Pro Wrestling.
If you're a Pro Wrestling fan like me, then you have read the major news report as of recent: World Wrestling Entertainment is moving towards airing edgier content on their wrestling TV shows again.
Now a lot of you think that means the Attitude Era or Ruthless Aggression era is going to come back. Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen. That isn't going to happen because we now live in a time were people are offended over everything. If the WWE (The Pro Wrestling org that The Don once had a stint in.) was to become like what they were during those two eras, then people would be calling them offensive. Pro Wrestling is not a sport that is meant to have to be PC. Fighting is not PC. A lot of great things happened on WWE programming during the two eras I talked about above (A.K.A The Politically Incorrect Era, if you will). Those two eras gave us great matches, great booking, and great storylines. The awesome moments that happened during those two eras wouldn't be able to happen today. I think the WWE would've been able to bring back the AE era or RA era in 2011. I said that because in 2011, the world wasn't so PC like it is now.
