This is interesting to me because L.A. Park (Adolfo Tapia) is the original La Parka… When Tapia went to WCW, AAA gave Chuy Escoboza the name La Parka Jr. and then in 2003 they officially started calling him La Parka and the original changed his name to L.A. Park.
Quite an honor for "the original" to give up the namesake altogether.
EDIT/CORRECTION: As has been corrected by several people in the comments, what LA Park actually said is that he will NOT be going back to the La Parka name. Title of news article is misleading.
