As someone who is very new to TTRPGs, I seriously love how much customisation there is in Pathfinder’s Character Creation

For reference, I do have experience with CRPGs, but the character I'm building will be the first I've ever played in a TTRPG.

I had been fooling about in heroforge, because I saw that there was a space in the myth-weavers character sheet for a picture. I started out trying to make a gnome (I thought the bonus to AC caused by size might be useful), got a little carried away and ended up with a more bestial, deformed-looking creature, who I immediately fell in love with.

I asked my DM if I could keep him, despite him not looking like a normal gnome, expecting to be told that I had to start from scratch. To my surprise, my DM told me I could keep him, if I could develop a good enough reason for a gnome looking like that.

I decided to look up what could cause this within Pathfinder's rules, and I found that the alchemist class used "mutagens" which physically altered the physical attributes of the imbiber. Wrote an entire backstory about how he had been forced to drink his own compounds as a form of torture, after being imprisoned.

But now I had an issue. This backstory required me to make a fairly strange alchemist, one who specialised in mechanical theory, lockpicking, and stealth (in order to justify him being able to escape). I didn't know how I'd be able to get that within the rules, but I was pleased to see that there actually was a lot of support for it!

The gnome Saboteur archetype, a few alternate racial traits, and some drawback traits (fortunately, the DM was very generous with traits and attributes, giving each of us 30 points, and up to 4 traits, as long as they were balanced by drawbacks and came from different categories)I was able to make a character which exactly fit the backstory I wrote.

Here's the result, Lupin Of Greschen.

I'm really pleased that Pathfinder allows this sort of thing!

Why did almost everyone say Justin Herbert would bust?

It's a little early to tell but at this point if Justin Herbert busts I'd blame the Charger's coaching staff. Before the season began everyone was already calling for Herbert's head. What were his flaws that were magnified? What were his strenghts that were overlooked?

Thunderspy: Sneak peek at the next costume pack

This pack will have tacticool and spooky costume parts. We hope to release by or before Halloween. This is an early work in progress so things are subject to change.

Left to right: Shivan Goo, Non-floating skull, Invisible.
