The Titans could potentially clinch the last playoff spot over the Steelers on the strength-of-victory tiebreaker

If the Steelers and Titans were to both win or both lose next week, the Titans could get the #6 seed due to strength of victory.

The NFL playoff conference tiebreakers are as follows:

  1. Head-to-head (they have not and will not face each other)
  2. Conference record (both are 6-5 in conference and will both play AFC opponents next week)
  3. Record against common opponents (both are 3-2 against the Bills, Colts, Browns, and Chargers)
  4. Strength of victory (i.e. combined record of all the teams they defeated that season)
  5. Strength of schedule (i.e. combined record of all the teams they played that season)
