Is it just me or does anyone else think that Vince took away Kari’s pirate gimmick because of the 2020 WrestleMania theme?

I mean, her pirate gimmick was extremely over. It was her entire identity in NXT. Now that WrestleMania is four months away, I'm thinking that Vince didn't want to use her like everyone was hoping/expecting by being the "mascot" for the biggest event of the year.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole idea for the Kabuki Warriors was just to test the waters to see if the fans would glance over the pirate gimmick being removed by teaming her with another top athlete.
